Cops released surveillance footage of the man who allegedly slashed a fellow straphanger with a box cutter on a Manhattan train this week.
The 61-year-old victim was standing near the doors on an L train around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday when a stranger suddenly kicked his bag, sparking a dispute between the two men, police said.
The argument turned violent when the suspect slashed the man across the right cheek with a box cutter before bolting from the train at the 14th Street and 1st Avenue station, cops said.
Video released late Wednesday shows the suspect inside the station, wearing a Louis Vuitton face mask, a black North Face jacket, a red hoodie, blue jeans, a red bandana and light-colored sneakers. He’s described as between 20 and 30 years old.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

An MTA employee who called 911 described the victim’s injury as a deep gash.
“It was an older man. His face was slashed,” the worker said Wednesday. “It was bad. It was very deep. The string from [his] mask was inside of [the slash wound]. He was bleeding profusely.”
