The unruly Instagram model who cursed out LeBron James and was ejected from her courtside seat Monday in Atlanta has apologized for “losing my cool and removing my mask in the heat of the moment.”
Juliana Carlos became an internet sensation overnight after she heckled the NBA legend, because he apparently exchanged words with her husband, during the fourth quarter of the Lakers’ 107-99 win.
“I don’t have an issue with LeBron. I don’t give a f–k about LeBron,” Carlos said on Instagram after she, her husband Chris, an avid LeBron hater, and two others were kicked out. “Anyway, I’m minding my own business, drinking my [beverage], having fun. All of the sudden, LeBron says something to my husband, and I see this and I stand up. And I go, ‘Don’t f–king talk to my husband.’ And he looks at me and he goes, ‘Sit the f–k down, b—h.’ And I go, ‘Don’t f–king call me a b—h. You sit the f–k down. Get the f–k out of here. Don’t f–king talk to my husband like that.’ ”
Following the game, James tweeted, “Courtside Karen was MAD MAD!!” referencing the viral nickname usually given to middle-aged white women who are caught making a big fuss on camera.
By Tuesday afternoon, Carlos, who held up her middle fingers as she exited the court, issued a mea culpa.

“About last night… To say things escalated quickly at yesterday’s game is an understatement, and I want to apologize for losing my cool and removing my mask in the heat of the moment,” wrote Carlos, who said she is 25 years old. “My husband is a huge sports fan and we’re passionate people, and let’s be real: sports wouldn’t be sports without a little trash-talking. What should have been a quick back-and-forth between two adults got out of hand… Did I use offensive language when I could have taken the higher road? Yes. And for these things, I take full responsibility.”

The Hawks, one of 10 NBA allowing some fans wearing masks into the arena, are investigating the incident.
All fans sitting courtside are required to receive a rapid COVID-19 test before entering the building.
“You obviously can’t have fans taking off their masks and shouting at our players during these times,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel said after the game.
Chris Carlos, a 56-year-old partner at a prominent Georgia-based wine and spirits distributor, has previously posted images on Instagram showing his hatred for LeBron.
“Can u tell I don’t like this guy,” he wrote under a picture of him standing courtside near LeBron during a past season.
