Dying 11-year-old boy identifies man who gunned down family: report
David Lee Huber, the Florida man who shot and killed two FBI agents led a largely reclusive life — and was the target of a “run of the mill” child porn case, it was revealed Thursday.
Huber, 55, a divorced computer engineer who had nothing more serious than traffic infractions on his record, ambushed the agents as they approached his Sunrise home with a search warrant early Tuesday.
The barrage downed five FBI agents, killing two and wounding three others, police said.
Authorities said Huber then took his own life.
A law enforcement source told the Miami Herald that the warrant the agents sought to serve was part of a “run of the mill” investigation — he was suspected of exchanging lewd images and not more serious charges of manufacturing child porn.
To neighbors, Huber had long been a mysterious recluse.
David Lee Huber is suspected of fatally shooting FBI agents in Florida.“If you would speak to him, he would usually not speak back. If he did it was just a grunt under his breath.”
Evans said an exterminator once told her of a frightening encounter with Huber.
“He was shaken and said, ‘Oh my God,’” she recalled. “‘The guy that lived downstairs just had a gun in my face!’”

Police could not confirm the incident nor any calls to Huber’s home, the Herald said.
Huber was born in Louisiana but spent most of his life in South Floria, the paper said.
He married in 2000 and lived with his wife in Pembrooke Pines with their two young children — until they separated and were divorced in 2016, records show.
Huber started two short-lived computer businesses, and had a pilot’s license to fly both single- and multi-engine aircraft that was issued in 1994.

Alfin, 36, was a New York native who began his FBI career at the agency’s office in Albany in 2009, and was assigned to the Miami office in 2017, the Herald said.
