When The Masked Singer returns for Season 5, viewers will be seeing a new host. Nick Cannon, who has tested positive for coronavirus, will be absent from the first few episodes of the latest season, Variety reports. Filling in for Cannon is actress and comedian Niecy Nash, who will take over The Masked Singer hosting duties starting with the Season 5 premiere.

Production on new episodes of the Fox reality series begins this Thursday, Feb. 4. Nash will fill in for Cannon until he’s “ready to get back to work,” Variety reports. A rep for Cannon confirmed to the outlet that the Masked Singer host is resting and quarantining, and the network expects he’ll return in time to finish up the rest of Season 5.

Cannon has been hosting The Masked Singer since its first season on Fox in 2019. The show, which wrapped up Season 4 in December, is set to return with a new season in March. Along with Cannon, The Masked Singer features four celebrity judges: Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke, who all try their best each episode to guess the talent behind the mask.

The Masked Singer‘s popularity inspired Fox to launch The Masked Dancer, a spinoff show that uses the same format, but has mystery competitors bring their best dance moves to the stage instead of showing off their vocals. The Masked Dancer, which is now in its first season on Fox, has so far featured Vinny Guadagnino, Brian McKnight, Elizabeth Smart, and more.

Nash is no stranger to The Masked Singer. She previously appeared on both Jeong’s competition series I Can See Your Voice, and joined the judges as a guest on The Masked Singer last season. Nash is well-known for her role on Reno 911!, but she’s also starred in Scream Queens, Never Have I Ever, Mrs. America, and her own TNT dramedy, Claws, and earned Emmys recognition for her roles in Getting On and When They See Us.
