Parents everywhere have Mila Kunis to thank for keeping Super Bowl commercials PG. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actress explained that she finally agreed to doing a Cheetos Super Bowl ad with her husband, Ashton Kutcher, because it was so different than everything that has been pitched to her in the past. “So different” as in, not requiring partial nudity. Say what?!

In order to fully appreciate this bonkers story, you need a little context. This week, Cheetos finally unveiled a Super Bowl commercial featuring That ’70s Show co-stars-turned-spouses Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher in which Kunis is repeatedly caught orange-handed with her husbands Cheetos. Rather than admit her guilt, Kunis relies on Shaggy’s tried and true “It Wasn’t Me” defense, which, shockingly, seems to work. Even Shaggy is surprised by her successful deceit!

The Cheetos Super Bowl ad marks two major milestones for Kunis, as she tends to avoid Super Bowl commercials for one very specific reason. “Every time I’ve ever been offered a Super Bowl ad it’s always a female having to be scantily clad,” she revealed. I get that Go Daddy Super Bowl commercials were a thing for a while, but haven’t we moved away from that?

Of course, there’s no nudity required in the Cheetos spot, which helped to seal the deal for the couple. “It’s so silly! Ashton and I, we never work together. I mean, I know we worked together before,” she told ET. “This one comes around, I started laughing so hard and Ashton was like, ‘This is kind of funny.’ And I was like, ‘We should do it!’”

“Also it was quarantine and we were stuck with our children for nine, 12, months at this moment, and I was like, ‘Two days, baby! Two days off.’ Literally we were like, ‘Yeah, OK, let’s do it,’” continued Kunis. “And so we did it. And I hate saying it but we were like, ‘Freedom!’ … It was amazing!”

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher’s Cheetos commercial will air during the big game this Sunday, February 7, but if you can’t wait, you can check it out above.
