A Pennsylvania mom who was caught on video shouting “take this building!” into a bullhorn during the Capitol siege was arrested Thursday, according to the FBI.
Rachel Powell is facing charges of obstruction, depredation of government property, entering restricted space without authority and violent entry or disorderly conduct for her role in the attack on Jan. 6, a criminal complaint states.
The 40-year-old can be seen in videos wearing a black jacket and pink hat while using a bullhorn to in struct rioters on how to navigate inside the Capitol.
“Rachel Powell is clearly seen speaking through a bullhorn and giving very detailed instructions about the layout of the Capitol building to others inside the room,” the FBI notes.
“She can be heard stating that she had been inside the Capitol Building in the adjacent room, and that they should “coordinate together if you are going to take this building,’” according to the complaint.
